The cost of Invisalign in Los Angeles depends on the treatment your teeth and bite need and the services included in your plan. An online price range is not a current quote from Cal Dental Group. The useful next step is an examination and a written, itemized estimate that you can compare with other treatment options.

What affects the cost of Invisalign?

Two people with similar-looking front teeth may need different tooth movements or bite corrections. Ask your clinician how the diagnosis, scope of treatment, expected monitoring and any preparatory dental care affect the fee. The American Association of Orthodontists’ clear-aligner guide explains that the number of aligners and treatment time vary with the problem being treated, and recommends an individualized estimate.

A limited alignment plan and a plan intended to correct a broader bite problem may have different goals. Before comparing prices, confirm that the proposals address the same teeth, bite concerns and desired outcome. Also ask what happens if the proposed approach needs to change.

What should a written estimate include?

Request the total treatment fee and a clear description of what is included, what is optional and what could be billed separately:

  • The examination, photographs, digital scans and any recommended X-rays.
  • The planned aligner treatment, attachments or other prescribed appliances, and progress appointments.
  • Any fillings, gum treatment, extractions or other care needed before treatment starts.
  • Replacement aligners if a tray is lost or damaged.
  • Additional scans or aligners if adjustments to the plan are needed.
  • Retainers, retainer checks and later replacement retainers.

These are questions to clarify in your own agreement, not a statement that every item is included in Cal Dental Group’s fee.

Are refinements and retainers included?

Ask how the office handles refinements: additional aligners or changes used to address remaining tooth movements during treatment. Does the quoted package include them, are there time or quantity limits, and when could another fee apply? Have the answer recorded in the estimate before you commit.

Retainers are a separate phase after active tooth movement. Ask which type is recommended, how many are supplied, what follow-up is included and what a replacement would cost. The AAO’s treatment guidance explains the role of retainers in keeping teeth in their new positions.

How do insurance and payment arrangements affect the total?

Contact your insurer about your own orthodontic benefits, including adult eligibility, any lifetime maximum, waiting periods and network requirements. Request an estimate of your responsibility after anticipated benefits. A benefit estimate does not guarantee what the insurer will pay when treatment is billed.

Ask Cal Dental Group which payment arrangements are currently available for your plan. If financing is offered, review the down payment, number of payments, interest or deferred-interest terms, fees and total amount payable. Compare the overall cost rather than only the monthly payment.

Can Invisalign address an overbite?

If an overbite is part of your concern, ask whether aligners can address your particular bite or whether braces or another approach would be more suitable. The appearance of the front teeth alone does not determine the treatment needed. Confirm whether bite correction is included in the proposed plan when comparing fees.

Is Invisalign the right value for your needs?

The lowest quote is not necessarily for the same treatment. Compare the proposed outcome, clinical monitoring, responsibilities, retention plan and exclusions. Read our Invisalign-versus-braces comparison for practical tradeoffs to discuss at the appointment.
