Implant-Supported & Snap-In Dentures in Los Angeles
Clinically reviewed by Dr. Michael Issakharian, DDS
Implant-supported dentures use dental implants to help hold replacement teeth in place. A removable snap-in denture comes out for cleaning; a fixed full-arch restoration stays in place. Cal Dental Group offers both approaches.

What is a snap-in denture?
A removable implant denture connects to implants through attachments. The exact design determines how much support comes from the implants and the tissues underneath. Ask your dentist to demonstrate how you would insert, remove, and clean the proposed denture. Being comfortable handling it is part of choosing the right option.
Compare stability, cleaning, and comfort
If your current denture moves or feels difficult to manage, bring it to the consultation and explain when the problem happens. Implant retention may help, but fit, bite, and the condition of the tissues still matter. Ask how the new design would differ from your existing denture and what adjustment visits might be needed.
Can my existing denture be adapted?
Sometimes an existing denture can be evaluated for modification, but a new one may be needed. The team must assess its condition, space for the attachments, and the proposed implant positions. Do not assume that a current denture can simply be snapped onto newly placed implants.
Standard, narrow, or mini implants?
Standard and selected narrow or mini implant options are available for assessment at Cal Dental Group. Mini implants are smaller in diameter and may be considered for specific denture-stabilization situations. They are not interchangeable with every conventional implant design. Ask why a particular system is recommended and how replacement parts and future maintenance are handled.

Questions patients ask
Are snap-in dentures removable?
Yes. They are designed for the patient to remove. Follow the cleaning and wearing schedule given by your dental team.
How many implants will I need?
The answer depends on the arch, bone, attachment system, and whether the restoration is fixed or removable. Request a plan specific to your mouth.
Will attachments ever need replacement?
Attachments and other components can wear. Ask what routine maintenance costs, checks, and replacement parts should be anticipated.
